Employment Opportunity: Part-Time Public Works Position

The City of Gates is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual for a part-time Public Works role. This position operates under the direction of the Public Works Superintendent and is responsible for water system operations at the Water Treatment Plant.

Schedule:

  • 4 hours each on Saturdays and Sundays

  • 4 hours on the following holidays:

    • New Year’s Day (January 1)

    • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Third Monday in January)

    • Presidents Day (Third Monday in February)

    • Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)

    • Juneteenth (June 19)

    • Independence Day (July 4)

    • Labor Day (First Monday in September)

    • Veterans Day (November 11)

    • Thanksgiving (Fourth Thursday in November)

    • Christmas Day (December 25)

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent or a combination of relevant experience and training demonstrating necessary skills and abilities.
